I started at HBS this past week, and when mentioning to a fellow classmate of mine that I had deferred admission from two years ago and started a company in the interim, he asked me why I still came. I responded: Well, why wouldn’t you want to take the opportunity to carve the best version of yourself, if you could?

I’m motivated by trying new things and acquiring new experiences and new knowledge, and I also believe in putting yourself in instances where you are uncomfortable but growing and learning.

I came to Harvard for three things: to learn something new, to change my mind, and to discover myself. I plan on learning accounting and finance principles and frameworks and how non-tech industries work. I want to hear my classmates opinions and listen to their view points, and I want to examine more deeply who I am and how people see and listen to me.

I think this will be a great two years of learning and building myself, and I feel incredibly lucky to be here.
